MOORHEAD – Criminal charges were filed today in Clay County in connection with the Feb. 10 armed robbery at a Stop-N-Go in Moorhead.
James Clint Lafayette Taylor, 21, of Fargo, is charged with felony aggravated robbery and being a felon in possession of a firearm, according to a news release from Moorhead police Lt. Tory Jacobson.
Taylor was jailed Feb. 13 in Fargo on other charges after a search warrant was executed following a multiagency investigation, Jacobson said. Cass County court records show he was charged Feb. 14 with making a false report to a law enforcement official.
Witnesses reported there were three men involved in the Stop-N-Go robbery at 1702 30th Ave. S. in Moorhead, one of three robberies at local Stop-N-Go stores in recent weeks.
Jacobson didn’t say in the release if police think Taylor is linked to the other robberies or mention the other two suspects. He did say the investigation is ongoing.
