A 98-year-old Oklee man is dead and his 95-year-old brother is in serious condition after authorities say they may have suffered hypothermia last night.
Hunters found 98-year-old William Larson unresponsive in a field hear Oklee this morning. Before paramedics could get there, he died.
Larson lived with his 95-year-old brother Carl nearby. When authorities went to tell Carl they had found his brother, they discovered he was missing as well. 30 minutes later, they found Carl in a ditch of a neighbors driveway. He was taken to a Thief River Falls hospital to be treated for hypothermia.
He is in serious condition.
Authorities think that William wandered away from the home early this morning and Carl went out to look for him.
Neither were dressed for the elements.
Low temps dropped to 45 degrees last night near Oklee.
