BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - Members of the North Dakota Legislature have reached what amounts to halftime and they're taking a midsession break.

Traditionally, the House and Senate go on vacation when the two chambers have finished voting on their own bills.

House members completed their work at midmorning Thursday. The Senate wrapped up at 12:23 p.m.

Legislators will take Friday, Monday and Tuesday off. The break is called "crossover."

The 2011 Legislature resumes on Wednesday. At that time, senators will begin reviewing bills that were approved by the House, and the House will work on Senate measures.
