GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — A North Dakota woman who was injured in a vehicle accident more than five years ago is seeking damages from a Manitoba trucking company.

JoAnn Clark has filed a civil lawsuit against Winnipeg-based Bison Transport Inc. Clark says a semi driver for the trucking company was at fault for the Nov. 2, 2005 accident on Interstate 94 near Alexandria, Minn.

Clark, a resident of Ransom County, says her damages include medical bills, pain, suffering, mental anguish and permanent physical injuries.

The trucking company says Clark cannot prove that any damages were the "direct result of an unavoidable accident, an act of God, or the negligence of others."

The company is asking that the case be dismissed.
