GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — A Grand Forks man is accused of fracturing the skull of his infant son.

25-year-old William Hoehn was charged Monday with child abuse, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Grand Forks County Assistant State's Attorney Jason McCarthy says Hoehn had not made a court appearance early Tuesday.

Authorities say Hoehn brought his son to a Grand Forks hospital on Jan. 5. Doctors say the boy had fractures near his right ear.

McCarthy says authorities have ruled out the possibility the boy's injuries were caused by an accident or a medical condition.

Hoehn does not have a listed phone number. A message left for DeWayne Johnston, an attorney who represented Hoehn during the police investigation, was not immediately returned Tuesday.
