Sen. Hoeven Pushing for New Tankers at GFAFB

At a meeting with the Commander of Air Mobilty Command, Gen. Raymond Johns, Senator John Hoeven advocated for basing new air refueling tankers at the Grand Forks Air Force Base.

At a meeting with the Commander of Air Mobilty Command, Gen. Raymond Johns, Senator John Hoeven advocated for basing new air refueling tankers at the Grand Forks Air Force Base.

Hoeven also expressed support for the Air Mobility Command, which provides support for military and humanitarian operations.

“General Johns is doing an outstanding job for our nation, providing life-saving support for our troops and allies alike around the world,” Hoeven said in a release issued Tuesday. “I know he holds Grand Forks Air Force Base in high regard, and I look forward to working with him on a tanker mission and also continued support for our UAS mission at the base.”

At the Tuesday meeting, Hoeven also advocated for continued support for Unmanned Aerial Systems at GF AFB.
