An East Grand Forks man has been sentenced to 6 years in prison for drunk driving.

Ricky Deleon has more than 20 convictions in the past 30 years- including 17 that are alcohol related.

He was stopped in East Grand Forks in July after someone reported that he was driving a car without the owner's permission.

His blood alcohol was twice the legal limit when he was stopped.

He was sentenced to 6 years in prison and will have to serve about five years before being allowed a conditional release.
