More good news for North Dakota's job market. The state has been credited with having the best job market in the nation last year.

Gallup's Job Creation Index study asked 200,000 workers nationwide whether their companies are hiring workers and expanding the size of their labor forces, not changing the size of their workforces or laying off workers.

The results of the poll don't surprise the customer service manager at Job Service North Dakota Keith Reitmeier.

"Employers in this state, they're conservative. They operate their business like they want to be around here for awhile. And they have a positive outlook on the future. We're hearing that from employers in this area and I think that's behind some of this growth too," Reitmeier said..

Reitmeier says right now there are about 1,200 job openings in the Grand Forks area.
