Some preliminary information from the 2010 Census shows population growth of 17 percent in North Dakota's two most populous counties over the past decade.

FARGO, N.D. (AP) - Some preliminary information from the 2010 Census shows population growth of 17 percent in North Dakota's two most populous counties over the past decade.

The Forum said a Census Bureau report shows a population of 145,300 in Cass County and 81,500 in Burleigh County last July.

Cass County is home to Fargo. Burleigh County is home to Bismarck.

Official 2010 Census data for North Dakota will be released by the end of March. It will include details at the city level.
