Homeowners along 32 Avenue South are now asked to strictly limit their water use which includes using the washer, dishwasher, even shower.

By: WDAZ Staff Reports,

Thursday's water main break on South Columbia Road in Grand Forks is still causing people to cut back on their water usage.

Homeowners along 32 Avenue South are now asked to strictly limit their water use which includes using the washer, dishwasher, even shower.

Drinking water is not affected.

Crews hope to fix the break by tonight and traffic is down to one lane on South Columbia, near the break.

As a result of the work on the forcemain, Cherry Street will be closed between Great Plains Court and 46th Avenue South, local traffic will be allowed to get to their homes. The closure on Cherry Street is due to a bypass waste water pipe laying across the road.
