The Fargo North Spartans kept their postseason run alive by beating Grand Forks Central 57-40 in the semifinals of the North Dakota girls Class A basketball tournament on Friday.

FARGO, N.D. (AP) — The Fargo North Spartans kept their postseason run alive by beating Grand Forks Central 57-40 in the semifinals of the North Dakota girls Class A basketball tournament on Friday.

The Spartans finished seventh in the East Region during the regular season, now they will play Fargo Shanley in Saturday's state championship game.

Kira Larson led the way, scoring 19 points and grabbing a game-high 12 rebounds. Alyssa Dehne added 13 points and dished out six assists for North (13-12), which shot 45 percent from the field to Central's 31.

Caitlin Farroh scored 21 points and grabbed eight rebounds for Central (20-4) despite being in early foul trouble.
