MINOT, N.D. (AP) - A Texas man accused of stabbing to death another Texas man in a North Dakota motel has been ordered held without bond.

Thirty-two-year-old Charles Davis II of Trinity, Texas, is charged with murder in the Saturday death in Minot of 48-year-old Donald Flowers of Wichita Falls, Texas.

Authorities say Davis and Flowers worked for the oil field company Halliburton. The Minot Daily News reports that witnesses told police the men were working in a conference room at the Candlewood Suites and got into a fight.

Davis also is accused of stealing a vehicle and trying to flee. He was arrested the same day near Bismarck. He asked for a public defender Monday but the judge refused. Davis is due back in court April 21.
