Minot Man Charged with Luring Minor

A Minot man is in jail after authorities say he chatted online about sexual acts with someone he believed was a 14-year-old Grand Forks girl.

A Minot man is in jail after authorities say he chatted online about sexual acts with someone he believed was a 14-year-old Grand Forks girl.

38-year-old Michael Swanson made his first court appearance Monday on a charge of luring minors by computer.

Authorities say Swanson chatted online about sex with who he believed was a 14-year-old girl, but was actually authorities.

According to court papers, they talked to each other online and through text messages for a couple weeks.

Then last Friday, during the blizzard, traveled to Grand Forks to meet.
