A former Thief River Falls police officer serving a year in jail for possessing stolen property is facing two more charges. Paul Kezar is charged with two counts of defeating security on personalty.

A former Thief River Falls police officer serving a year in jail for possessing stolen property is facing two more charges.

Paul Kezar is charged with two counts of defeating security on personalty.

According to court papers, Kezar signed a security agreement with a local bank, and then sold a vehicle he used as collateral for getting a loan without permission.

He faces a maximum penalty of three years and a six thousand dollar fine on both charges.

Kezar's previous conviction came after authorities searched his house in 2009 and found more than $50,000 worth of stolen items like lawnmowers and snowmobiles.
