Grand Forks PSAP Constructs New Radio Tower
The new Grand Forks Public Safety and Answering Point is one step closer to being finished.
This morning crews assembled the 160 foot radio tower that's going to be crucial to the success of the new PSAP Center.
The new tower will allow for clearer and longer transmission range.
Officials say this new tower will improve response times for emergency responders.
"One way of doing that is improving the means our responders communicate with each other. This is just going to enhance their tools in their toolbox," said PSAP Director Becky Ault.
Ault says the PSAP center will be open in June.
