GF Teen Pleads Not Guilty to Sex ChargesA Grand Forks teenager has pleaded not guilty to charges of coercing another teenage girl of having sex with him through death threats.
A Grand Forks teenager has pleaded not guilty to charges of coercing another teenage girl of having sex with him through death threats.
18-year-old Ryne Anderson's jury trial is set for the week of August 9th.
According to court documents, Anderson told the girl "drug dealers" would hurt or possibly kill her, her family and him if she didn't do a number of things, including having sex with him.
Authorities say those drug dealers did not exist.
Court documents say Anderson and the girl had sex twice in February, but physical force was not used.
Anderson's attorney says no crime occurred because Anderson's story was so unbelievable that the girl couldn't have found any truth to his claims.
Anderson is charged with one count of gross sexual imposition and another of sexual imposition. A charge of terrorizing was dismissed Thursday.
