Crookston Woman Treated After Car Slides Off Road, Into Ditch

A Crookston woman was slightly injured Thursday morning in an accident on state Highway 9 near just north of Beltrami.

A woman was slightly injured in an accident near Crookston just after 8 a.m. Thursday.

The State Patrol says 25-year-old Shawna Steinbrink, Crookston, slid on an icy patch of state Highway 9 just north of Beltrami. She then went off the road, hit a sign, and went into a water-filled ditch.

The State Patrol says Steinbrink wasn't wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

Steinbrink was treated and released from Riverview Health in Crookston.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office assisted the State Patrol in responding to the accident.
