Spring Chicks a Welcome Sign of Warmer Weather

You know it's almost the end of winter when you start to hear the sound of spring chicks.

Grand Forks Tractor Supply received its annual spring shipment of baby chickens, ducks and rabbits.

It has to be warm enough for the shipment because chicks need specific temperatures to be healthy.

Managers say it's the most anticipated time of year.

"Everywhere we were being asked, 'when are they coming? When are we going to get them in? About when can we expect them?' And they start calling if they have gotten here yet," Tractor Supply Manager Bob Weldon said.

Weldon says they have more people come in to look at the chicks than actually buy them.
