Larimore Man Charged With Attempted Murder

A Larimore man has been charged with attempted murder after authorities say he choked a woman until she passed out.

23-year-old Kermit Dumarce is charged with attempted murder, terrorizing and violating a no contact order.

Authorities say he had been choking the woman every day since November 12th. Yesterday the woman was choked so hard she blacked out.

Grand Forks County State's Attorney Peter Welte asked Dumarce be held without bond, because he says he is a threat to society. But a judge set bail for Dumarce at $26,000.

He is still in jail and will be back in court December 21st.
