Thief River Falls, Minn., Man Sentenced for Plummer, MN, Theft

One of two Thief River Falls men facing charges for stealing from several businesses in Plummer, MN, was sentenced.

One of two Thief River Falls men facing charges for stealing from several businesses in Plummer, MN, was sentenced.

19-year-old Phillip Trontvet will spend one year in jail but can serve that time on work release.

Authorities say Trontvet, along with 20-year-old Brian Torkelson, stole cash and merchandise from Li'l Joe's Cafe, Jim's Corner Bar, and the American Legion Club.

Torkelson has not been sentenced yet.
