One fan is not willing to miss the chance to see the Fighting Sioux Men's Hockey team go to St. Paul.
"We got paint for the car, we got all our signs done, we got face paint.. It's going to be awesome," said Nickolas Holter of Grand Forks.
Awesome to have tickets for the game at the Xcel Center, yes. Cheap, no.
"We were online immediately. We started looking and they were $400 a piece, so, we bought them," he said.
$195 tickets through UND have been sold out for weeks. Holter and his friends looked on sites like Craigslist or Stubhub and found prices around $1,500 for a set of four tickets. Holter and his friends ultimately paid more - the final total $2,239.
"You wish you could help everybody. It's sad you can't. You want everyone to go because they love the Sioux. We have a limited amount of tickets," said Heather Reardon, Ticket Manager at the Ralph Engelstad Arena.
Reardon has been quite popular on the phone because of fans looking for tickets. She said it has been the highest demand in UND history.
The university only got a certain amount of tickets from the NCAA available to students, faculty and members of the Fighting Sioux Club.
"It has been busy! Crazy," said Reardon.
Holter said he should have foreseen tickets being tough to come by.
"The way we were playing this year, we were idiots for not buying them!"
