BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Gov. Jack Dalrymple said the Federal Emergency Management Agency is sending an emergency response team to help North Dakota as it battles spring flooding.

He said Wednesday that the 26-member team is expected to be in the state within 24 hours.

The FEMA group will work with the state Emergency Operations Center in coordinating additional federal help in the flood fight.

Dalrymple said he also is pressing for a presidential emergency declaration so all available resources can be in place before the Red River crests.
