Work on the new Drayton bridge was behind about six weeks. And now crews are nearly on schedule because of our mild weather.

This spring's flooding and wet summer put construction on hold for week longer than scheduled.

But the project engineer says this month they were able to do much of the dirt work they were not able to complete this summer. Contractors were forced to haul in dry dirt, because soil around the bridge was too wet to use.

The 28 million dollar project is expected to be open November of next year.
