Broadcaster Tim Hennessy Undergoes Surgery

Longtime UND men's hockey radio announcer Tim Hennessy is hospitalized in Grand Forks.
WDAZ has learned that Hennessy, 59, is in the surgical critical care unit at Altru Hospital. His family issued a statement, saying Hennessy had surgery Thursday to clear a blockage in his carotid artery. The statement says Hennessy is resting comfortably and is expected to make a full recovery.
UND women's hockey announcer Darrin Looker called UND's Frozen Four semifinal game against Michigan on Thursday. Looker is also the public address annnouncer at UND men's hockey home games.
