A Park River, ND, man was injured in a rollover accident in Walsh County early Friday morning.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says Michael Seim, 20, was speeding near Park River just before 1 a.m. Friday. The Patrol says a trooper flashed his lights at Seim, but he wouldn't stop his vehicle.

The Patrol says Seim went north out of the Park River area on Walsh County Road 12 at what the patrol calls an "extremely high" rate of speed.

Seim then reached a curve in the highway, left it onto a gravel road and lost control, sliding sideways. Seim's truck then rolled several times and came to a rest on its wheels in a field.

The Patrol says Seim was thrown from the vehicle and transported to First Care in Park River for treatment of his injuries.

The Patrol arrested Seim for DUI. Additional charges are possible and the accident remains under investigation.
