2 Crookston Businesses Burglarized; Over $100,000 Worth of Items Stolen

Police responded to a report of a burglary at 9:03 a.m. Friday and found that the Four Seasons Clothing store and Munn's Jewelry had been burglarized.

Two businesses in Crookston were burglarized sometime before 9 a.m. Friday, the Crookston Police Department said.

Police responded to a report of a burglary at 9:03 a.m. and found that the Four Seasons Clothing store and Munn's Jewelry had been burglarized.

Police say entry was gained into Four Seasons threw a rear door. Police say the burglar(s) then chopped two holes through a brick wall to get into Munn's Jewelry, which is next door to Four Seasons.

A large amount of jewelry was taken, police said in a statement issued Friday evening. Gentleman's rings, engagement rings, diamond pendants and various necklaces were all stolen. Items were also stolen from the clothing store.

Police say the value of the items taken is expected to be more than $100,000.

Inventories of the stores are being taken and investigation of the burglaries continues.
