Twins Put Kevin Slowey on 15-day Disabled List

The Minnesota Twins have placed right-handed pitcher Kevin Slowey on the 15-day disabled list because of a right shoulder strain.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Minnesota Twins have placed right-handed pitcher Kevin Slowey on the 15-day disabled list because of a right shoulder strain.

The Twins announced Saturday they would recall right-handed pitcher Alex Burnett from Triple-A Rochester for Saturday's game against Oakland.

Slowey has made three appearances this season, going 0-0, allowing one hit with no walks and three strikeouts.

Burnett made 41 appearances with the Twins last season, going 2-2, with 23 walks and 37 strikeouts.
