2 Rescued From Floodwaters Near Argusville, ND

The North Dakota National Guard and the Cass County Sheriff's Office conducted two flood rescues today near Argusville.

ARGUSVILLE, N.D. - The North Dakota National Guard and the Cass County Sheriff's Office conducted two flood rescues today near Argusville.

A woman called authorities to report that her son, Jordan Richards, was trapped in a stranded tractor with the wheels stuck on County Road 4 near Argusville.

Cass County boat teams located the tractor and all of its occupants were taken to safety.

About 3:30 p.m., the Sheriff's Office was called to 2551 173rd Ave. SE in rural Argusville on a report of a dike that broke.

Five people, ranging in age from 10 to 57, as well as a dog, were safely evacuated by Cass County airboats.

Floodwaters northwest of West Fargo and Argusville are estimated to stretch 10 miles from the Red River to the west in Cass County.
