Mayor Raises Fine for Walking on Dikes; Greenway Closes

Grand Forks Mayor Michael Brown Tuesday issued a declaration that raised the fine for walking on or tampering with city flood walls or dikes to $1,000 and/or 30 days in jail per violation.
The Grand Forks Police Department has been responding the past few days to people on the dikes or in closed flooding areas.
The Greenway has been officially closed to the public.
