Grief Counselors Helping Marshall, MN, Students Cope With 2 Deaths

Two 14-year-old girls were found dead early Saturday in a home in Island Lake Township, apparently as the result of suicide.

MARSHALL, M.N.- Two 14-year-old girls were found dead early Saturday in a home in Island Lake Township, apparently as the result of suicide.

The Marshall Independent newspaper reported that Lyon County authorities have identified Haylee Fentress of rural Lynd and Paige Moravetz of Lynd.

The Sheriff's Office is investigating, but no foul play is suspected.

The Marshall School District is working with mental health agencies and the local ministerial association to offer counseling for students and community members,

"When the community experiences the death of a child, it is something that the community has to come together to work through," Marshall Superintendent Klint Willert told the Independent.
