A registered sex offender wanted on sex charges in Nelson County was arrested in Grand Forks Tuesday afternoon.
Michael McLary is charged with five counts of gross sexual imposition in Nelson County, the Sheriff's Department said. A criminal complaint states McLary had sexual contact with more than one minor over the past year.
McClary was arrested at about 3:45 p.m. at the Ambassador Motel in Grand Forks. He was held at the Grand Forks County Correctional Center, but will be transported to the Devils Lake Correctional Center and held without bond.
McLary is also a registered sex offender in Saskatchewan. He was convicted of sexual assault in 1997 and served three years and nine months before being deported.
