The State Historic Preservation Review Board will meet Friday to consider adding the Grand Forks Kegs Drive-In to the National Register of Historic Places.

The restaurant is one of three properties getting consideration for the register Friday.

Known for its sloppy joes and onion rings, the restaurant at 901 N. 5th street has been around since the 1930s.

The register is the federal government's list of properties it considers worthy of recognition and preservation.

The Board is also considering recommending Williston High School and the Fargo Oak Grove residential neighborhood.

The board makes recommendations to the state historic preservation officer, who decides which properties to nominate to the Register.
