Kindred, ND - A Kindred man is in the Cass County jail, accused of holding authorities at bay during an hour and a half long armed standoff.
40-year-old Robert Bodin, Jr. faces charges of domestic violence and interfering with a 911 call. The armed standoff happened at 181 Elm Street around 12:45 p.m. Thursday.
Local, county and federal agents, including Customs and Border Patrol, and the K-9 unit arrived within minutes. Many were already in town for the flood fight.
Authorities say the incident started as a domestic assault between Bodin and his wife, but then escalated. They found a hunting knife and machete in the house.
Bodin's wife has non-life threatening injuries to her head.
