A Grand Forks family is representing North Dakota in a new Johnson and Johnson book about parenting and will star in their own commercial.
"Can you say hi?"
Lilly Goodman may have been shy for our camera, but she was all smiles for a camera crew from Johnson & Johnson. Well, eventually.
"The water had to be really high, but the jets in the bathtub kept going off, so she was scared and we probably got, out of an hour of shooting, five to ten minutes where she was truly happy to be in the bathtub," said Chilly Goodman Lilly's Mother.
The Goodman family was selected out of 14 other North Dakota families to be part of a new book from Johnson and Johnson called "Treasuring the Joy of Everyday Moments" featuring one family from every state.
Lilly landed a shampoo and bubble bath commercial and a photo shoot while having a tea party with her favorite guests.
The Goodman's chapter in the book is about their most joyous times with Lilly, having tea, reading books and spending time together. Lilly's mother Chilly says they are also showing the rest of the nation how diverse North Dakota really is.
"We represent a new North Dakota, being a multi-racial family and couple. But Johnson & Johnson actually has all 50 of their families are so different and come from all different walks of life and I think really represents how the United States is now," said Chilly.
"It's about having a cute baby, it's about having a nurturing family, a loving, nurturing family. And I think you really see it, I was there for part of the photo shoot, and it just comes right through," said Dana Goodman, Lilly's Grandmother.
But for the Goodman family, show business is not their cup of tea.
"I don't ever want to be a model or an actress because it was really hard, but she enjoyed it, so that's all that really matters," said Chilly.
The book comes out next week and the commercial and documentary can be seen beginning on Mother's Day on the WE channel.
