Police Reminding Public to Stay Safe This Springfest

Springfest is right around the corner and the Grand Forks Police Department wants to make sure you stay safe. Everyone wanting to attend must show ID at the door and will be given a wristband.

Alcohol will be available on the grounds, but police say you are not allowed to bring outside alcohol to the event.

They ask those attend don't bring pets, home or lawn furniture to the event.

"Bring your identification, be responsible, follow the rules and you will have a great time. That's all we ask. Just be smart about it and you will have no troubles," said Lt. Grant Schiller with the Grand Forks Police Department.

Anyone can attend the event.

Last year, 2,700 attended the event and 47 citations were given.
