At Least 6 Injured in St. Paul Bus, Truck Crash

At least six people were hurt Wednesday when a Metro Transit bus collided with a pickup truck in downtown St. Paul.

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — At least six people were hurt Wednesday when a Metro Transit bus collided with a pickup truck in downtown St. Paul.

A transit spokesman says the pickup ran a red light and hit the bus, which careened into the Alliance Bank Center parking ramp. Metro Transit spokesman John Siqveland (SIG'-vuh-lund) says that two people in the truck were taken to a hospital. In addition, he says the bus driver and some of her passengers also were taken to hospitals.

Siqveland tells KSTP-TV (http://bit.ly/iTkHF3 ) the driver of the pickup was cited. The injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.
