Police Arrest Man After Grand Forks K-Mart Parking Lot Stabbing

A Grand Forks man has been arrested after police suspect he stabbed another man in the K-Mart parking lot Thursday evening.

A Grand Forks man has been arrested after police suspect he stabbed another man in the K-Mart parking lot Thursday evening.

Police say Richard Aaron Berg, 27, was arrested shortly after the incident. Investigation led officers to the 2200 block of 12th Ave. N. Berg was arrested without incident.

Police say they have cause to believe Berg stabbed Joshua Tody, 27, of East Grand Forks, in the chest and neck. Tody was treated by paramedics at the scene and taken to Altru Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The incident occurred at about 5:53 p.m. Thursday at the K-Mart parking lot at 1900 S. Washington.
