ARDEN HILLS, Minn. (AP) — Minnesota Vikings owner Zygi Wilf says the best place for a new stadium is Ramsey County.

Wilf joined county officials on Tuesday in Arden Hills to give details of an agreement that could move the Vikings out of downtown Minneapolis after nearly 30 years.

Their plan calls for a retractable-roof stadium that would cost a little over $1 billion. Key money would come from a half-cent countywide sales tax plus $407 million from the Vikings plus state money.

The city of Minneapolis has a competing plan, but Wilf says Ramsey County is better than rebuilding on the existing Metrodome site. One hangup could be millions in infrastructure costs. The team and the county say they shouldn't have to pay for road upgrades.
