Devils Lake Speedway to Reopen Under New Ownership

Nolan Olmstead is the new owner if the Speedway and has been working hard to clean up the grounds in preparation for the first race of the year next weekend.

After being closed for nearly two years, the Devils Lake Speedway is getting a facelift.

Nolan Olmstead is the new owner if the Speedway and has been working hard to clean up the grounds in preparation for the first race of the year next weekend.

The bar and grill portion of the Speedway has been open since the end of February while Olmstead put the finishing touches on the track this spring. He says he's excited for the summer events to begin.

"We have 'Eve of Destruction,'I have daredevils coming for two days. I have a trailer racing, all kinds of demolition derbies, concerts. I have all kinds of events coming out. It's going to be a great year," Olmstead said.

The Devils Lake Speedway is open Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. And they are now serving lunches.
