Representatives from Ghana are touring the Red River Valley this week, talking with local agribusiness leaders. They're looking to merge business opportunities for both Ghana and North Dakota.

Due to many similarities between the Red River Valley and Ghanaian agriculture, the delegation is here to launch its 2011 National Food and Agriculture show in hopes the state will want to get involved with the project.

Those on the tour said farmers in Ghana have a lot to learn from those in North Dakota

"We've seen it all here, I mean a lot has been achieved here already, over the last century. And it's easier to learn from those who've been able to achieve so much already," says Adam Sulley of the Agricultural Development Bank in Ghana.

The group toured the State Mill and Elevator, Crystal Sugar Plant in Hillsboro and a potato farm near Larimore, ND.
