An East Grand Forks Company has built their fair share of levees in their day and are now working to protect residents in Minot.
RJ Zavoral and Sons Incorporated has worked in several cities across North Dakota and Minnesota and have now shifted to work in Minot.
The crews are working 24 hours a day right now to build up levees.
They say no matter how many floods you've dealt with, everyone is different.
Dave Zavoral is the Operating Manager.
He says, "this one has definitely been interesting because we're not from the town of Minot. We have to learn the lay of the land pretty quickly."
Zavoral says Tuesday may have been the most challenging day as the city was trying to evacuate residents and trucks were trying to get into neighborhoods to build levees.
