FAIRMONT, Minn. (AP) — Autopsies have confirmed that a 50-year-old man shot a woman to death in a van in southern Minnesota before taking his own life.
The bodies of Curtis Larson of Welcome and 51-year-old Linda Kay Norman of Granada (gruh-NAY'-duh) were found Thursday in a minivan parked outside the Our Place bar in Imogene.
Martin County Chief Sheriff's Deputy Corey Klanderud (KLAND'-uh-rood) says the investigation found that Larson shot and killed Norman with a .22-caliber rifle and then turned the weapon on himself.
Klanderud says the two had a previous relationship and that a note was later found in Larson's vehicle.
There were no witnesses to the shootings which happened inside the minivan.
Imogene is about five miles east of Fairmont.
