ARVILLA, N.D. (AP) — Traffic on U.S. Highway 2 in northeast North Dakota had to be detoured early Friday when a semitrailer hauling frozen food crashed into a bridge guard rail, caught fire and burned on the roadway.
The Highway Patrol says the crash happened about 3:40 a.m., about a mile west of Arvilla. Traffic was detoured for about 3 ½ hours.
The 32-year-old driver, Al Davis, from Minot was taken to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks where he was treated and released, according to a nursing supervisor. The semitrailer was destroyed.
