(AP) — Amtrak passenger rail service between Minnesota and the Pacific Northwest will resume Wednesday after crews overcame flooding related problems between Devils Lake and Rugby in northeast North Dakota.

BNSF Railway Co. restorations were also made between Sandpoint, Idaho, and Libby, Mont.

Amtrak on June 1 suspended the Empire Builder line between St. Paul, Minn., and Spokane, Wash., because of water-related track problems.

Amtrak says service will return Wednesday with the originations of Train 8 from Seattle, Train 28 from Portland and Train 7/27 from Chicago.
