MOORHEAD – The Minnesota State Patrol says a drunken-driving suspect drove through two concrete barriers in an apartment parking lot during a brief pursuit early today that ended with his arrest.
A trooper tried to stop the vehicle at 12:17 a.m. on Highway 75 on the north end of Moorhead.
The driver allegedly attempted to flee the trooper, who engaged in a pursuit that lasted about three blocks. After driving through the concrete barriers, the vehicle stopped in the parking lot of Moorhead’s water treatment plant, Sgt. Jesse Grabow stated in a news release.
Tyler Swenson, 35, of Glyndon, Minn., was arrested on suspicion of fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle, third-degree DUI, driving after revocation and open container, the release stated.
