BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Gov. Jack Dalrymple said he invited President Obama to visit flood-ravaged North Dakota when they spoke by phone Monday.

Dalrymple said he told the president that statewide flood damages will exceed the federal government's threshold to trigger a 90-percent cost share from the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

The governor said he also stressed that individual assistance from the government be provided equitably across the state regardless of the county or source of the flooding.
