2 Injured in North Grand Forks Motorcycle Accident

Authorities says a Grand Forks man has been arrested for driving under the influence following a motorcycle accident Monday evening.

Authorities says a Grand Forks man has been arrested for driving under the influence following a motorcycle accident Monday evening.

The crash happened shortly before 8 p.m. on North Washington Street just before the I-29 overpass.

39-year-old Dale Schneider lost control control of his motorcycle and struck a light pole.

35-year-old Carrie Garcia of Grand Forks was also on the motorcycle.

Neither was wearing a helmet.

Both Schneider and Garcia were taken to Altru hospital.

Schneider is in serious condition and Garcia is in satisfactory condition.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says Schneider was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and having a revoked drivers license.

Schneider has multiple prior convictions for driving under the influence and driving under revocation.
