ND Health Dept: Anyone Can Get Swine Flu Shot

North Dakota's Health Department says anyone who needs a swine flu vaccine shot may get one, if local vaccine supplies allow for it.
For months the Health Department has been advising local health officials to give swine flu shots only to people in certain risk groups. They included pregnant women, day care providers and health care workers.
State immunization program manager Molly Sander says that local public health units and private providers now have permission to give shots to anyone who wants one.
Sander says vaccine supplies have increased and the demand from people in risk groups for flu shots has dropped off. She says in areas that are still short of vaccine, officials may want to keep the restrictions in place.
