Kids in military families got to participate in a day camp designed just for them today.
Operation Military Kids was at Turtle River State Park.
The camp was full of activities designed to help kids with team building, stress management, and confidence.
Kids also learned different ways to deal with deployment and to be more resilient.
"Also talked a lot about their different experiences through having a parent deployed. And we reflect on the different things that they learned, different ways to relieve stress, positive ways to stay connected to a military family member. So they really do walk away with quite a bit," Camp Coordinator Stacy Wendt said.
The camp was for kids ages 5 to 12 with any family member in the military, and about 27 military kids took part.
