Police are looking for help in finding a suspect who fled after an accident between a scooter and a vehicle at about 9:20 p.m. Friday in Grand Forks.
The suspect vehicle is described by police as a white four-door car with front-end passenger side damage near the headlight area and windshield damage.
The car struck the scooter at the intersection of University Avenue and N. 15th St. The driver of the scooter, 22-year-old Lucas Kiefer of Grand Forks, was injured and taken via ambulance to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks where he was treated and released. Kiefer has since been re-admitted to the hospital due to serious pelvis injuries, according to his step mother.
Kiefer was heading east on University when it was struck by the westbound car. The driver of the car then fled in the vehicle south on N. 15th St.
